1. WING FLIGHT CONTROLS TEST STAND

 

It is developed mainly by Mechatronics and Adaptronics Research Team (MART) of INCAS, in a common location used by two Laboratories: Mechano-Hydro-Pneumatic Laboratory (MHPL) and Mechatronic System Laboratory.

 

The stand is conceived, among others, as a starting point of a wing load control ground demonstrator.

The following flight controls of a specimen of naturally cantilevered wing are operated as a mechatronic system from a control room:

♥ aileron and flight spoilers
♥ speed brakes for flight
♥ ground aerodynamic braking
♥ high-lift devices:
♦leading edge devices (slates)
♦trailing-edge flap

2. LABORATORY TESTING CAPABILITY−1

♦ lyfe cycle extension of hydraulic servo SMHR integrated in the aileron control chain of IAR 99 jet fighter
♦ general hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for aircraft industry
♦ dampers and accumulators
♦ installations and devices for endurance, fatigue, environmental tests
♦ fine mechanics equipment
♦ automatic systems 
♦ agriculture chemical spraying installations used on ground and airborne

♦ pressures up to 315 bar (dynamic mode) and 1000 bar (static mode)
♦ fluid decontamination according to NAS 1638 and ISO 4406

3.  LABORATORY TESTING CAPABILITY−2

− operation under harsh environments

a) CLIMATIC CHAMBERS

type IV Ilka STBV-1000:
♦ mechano- and electro-climatic testing in the temperature range −200ºC…200ºC, associated with depression, reaching  1.5 Torr in 30 min
♦ volume 1m3:
— length: 1.16 m
— width: 1.0 m
— height: 0.84 m
♦ operating temperatures achieved in the following intervals:
— from 20°C to −150°C in 15 min
— from 20°C to 200°C in 40 min
values of cryogenic temperatures and the time of reaching them depend on the volume of micro enclosure in climate chamber and of used refrigerant (carbon dioxide, liquid nitrogen, etc.)

 

 

b) SHOCK AND VIBRATION TESTS, TESTS IN SALTED MIST ENVIRONMENT
